This detached home in Llanfoistwas transformed through a carefully designed single-storey rear extension, creating a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and family room that opens effortlessly onto the garden through expansive aluminium bi-fold doors.To maximise the connection between the existing home and the new extension, we replaced the original rear living room window with a second set of bi-fold doors, flooding the interior with natural light and creating a seamless flow between the living spaces and outdoors.The project extendedfar beyond the house itself. A challenging sloping rear garden was completely reimagined into a series of practical, low-maintenance outdoor spaces. By excavating the rear of the garden to create a generous sunken entertaining terrace, we reclaimed the outdoor space lost to the extension, providing the homeowners with even more usable garden than before.The landscaping included premium sandstone patios, retaining walls, feature steps, bespoke timber seating, new pathways and a fully re-turfed lawn, creating a garden that is equally suited to relaxing and entertaining. The project was completed with an oak-framed garden structure, integrating a hot tub into the design while complementing the property's contemporary appearance.The result is a home that blends modern architecture with practical family living, seamlessly connecting the interior and exterior spaces while significantly enhancing both the property's functionality and value.
