This commercial office refurbishment in Cardiff transformed an existing workspace into a modern, professional environment designed to support productivity, collaboration and flexible working.Working closely with the client, we reconfigured the office to create a series of distinct yet interconnected spaces, balancing open-plan working areas with private offices, meeting facilities and informal breakout zones. The completed layout incorporates glazed office pods, a dedicated boardroom, bespoke reception and coffee station areas, and collaborative spaces designed around the day-to-day needs of the business.Acoustic performance formed an important part of the scheme, with acoustic wall panelling and sound-attenuating finishes incorporated throughout the workspace to improve comfort and privacy. Within the boardroom, we designed and constructed a concealed access door seamlessly integrated into the acoustic feature wall, providing discreet access to storage without interrupting the appearance of the panelling.Bespoke timber planters were introduced to help define individual working zones and bring natural elements into the office, while the existing exposed concrete soffits and structural features were retained as part of the design, contributing to the contemporary industrial character of the finished space.The refurbishment also included extensive alterations to the existing layout, bespoke joinery, upgraded finishes and the integration of power, data and communications infrastructure. The result is a bright, highly functional workplace with carefully considered spaces for focused work, collaboration, client meetings and staff wellbeing.
